Gina R Poe

The
Poe lab searches for mechanisms whereby sleep serves memory consolidation in health and disorders of cognition and emotion. We use a combination of multiple single unit recordings, optogenetics, miniscope Ca++ imaging, behavioral tasks, and other tools in rats, mice and sometimes humans to learn the sleep traits, neural circuits, neurotransmitters, and states that are critical for learning and remodeling our memories with experience.
